Proper MIDI Studio Setup

With MIDI Network Setup open, everything should look more or less like this image. If it doesn't, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting

What's the problem?

There are no sessions in the list

There is no CG1 participant device

Select CG1 from the Directory, and click Connect.

There is no 172.16.12.66 device

"Who may connect to me" doesn't say "Anyone"

Change the dropdown box to say Anyone.

The live routings aren't correct

Anything else

It's probably not an issue.

Click on the + button below the session list to create a new session. Name it something nice, and be sure to tick the Enabled checkbox. Then, .

Follow the instructions for .

Change them both to match the name of . For example, if your CG1 session is called CG1-Session, you should select Network CG1-Session from the list.
