Proper MIDI Studio Setup

With MIDI Network Setup open, everything should look more or less like this image. If it doesn't, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

What's the problem?

There are no sessions in the list

Click on the + button below the session list to create a new session. Name it something nice, and be sure to tick the Enabled checkbox. Then, add a participant device.

There is no CG1 participant device

Select CG1 from the Directory, and click Connect.

There is no 172.16.12.66 device

Follow the instructions for Lighting MIDI Setup.

"Who may connect to me" doesn't say "Anyone"

Change the dropdown box to say Anyone.

The live routings aren't correct

Change them both to match the name of your CG1 MIDI session. For example, if your CG1 session is called CG1-Session, you should select Network CG1-Session from the list.

Anything else

It's probably not an issue.
